L. Ron Hubbard Discusses The Development Of His Philosophy

I
n November, 1958, at the request of Doctor Stillson Judah, Professor of Religious History, Ron discussed both the philosophic background and working principles of Dianetics and Scientology. Although some of what is talked of here—Ron’s examination of poetry, for example—has been touched upon earlier, the perspective is unique; for with Dr. Stillson Judah we have a man much intrigued with ideas, and it is the grand progression of L. Ron Hubbard’s thinking he seeks through the course of this conversation.

Also keenly relevant here are Ron’s statements on what followed from work at Oak Knoll, including the publication of Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health and, thereafter, his recognition of “what was looking at the pictures.” As a point of interest on the latter, his entrance into the spiritual realm actually followed from research in Wichita, Kansas and irrefutable evidence that we do not live only once.
